A short story -True Friends

This story is dedicated to all those who believe in friendship.


Readers! Once upon a time there lived two great friends in a hamlet near Jaipur. Jay and Vijay had been friends since their childhood. Now they were studying in a college, which was at far distance from their place. In the way they had to cross a river, pass hills and sandy area too. They used to go to college together. Their friendship was famous in college.
One rainy day the two friends set out for college as usual. They were chatting while walking. Perhaps they were discussing some point of atomic theory which was taught on previous day. The two had different opinions. There began heated arguments. This was followed by abusive language by both sides. Things got so bad that in a fit of anger Jay slapped Vijay. Shell shocked Vijay stared at his friend and wrote on sand that “today my best friend slapped me.” Both resumed their walk but now they were silent. Meanwhile they reached the river which was overflowing today. Vijay was not a good swimmer. He stepped into the river but … began to drown and flow with force of water in the direction of the flood. Jay saw this and without thinking for a second jumped into the river. With difficulty he could drag Vijay out of the river. He helped Vijay restore his normal breath. When Vijay became normal, he wrote on a hill that “today my best friend saved my life.”
Jay who was observing all this could not help asking “why did you write it on sand when I slapped you and why are you writing on the hill when I’ve saved your life?” Vijay replied that “we should soon forget wrong done by our friends and dear ones as writing on sand gets erased in no time, but if they do something good for us we should always remember their kindness just as writing on stones is for ever.” Saying this Vijay hugged his friends and two wend to college as if nothing had happened.

Sad Friendship story

There where two girls in a big school who didn't know each other..Until the middle of the semester one of the girls named Leana had her scedual changed..Leana was switched to all girls classes..She sat next to her in math and science..so one day at lunch leana noticed how the another girl was sitting alone she went to her table..

Leana:hey um hi, may i sit here..

Girl:yea sure..

Leana:soo do you always sit alone??

Girl:yea i dont mind..

Leana:oh wats ur name?

Girl:Diana..

Leana:well my names leana..its nice to meet you..

Diana:nice to meet you too..

A week later they were
best friend

they did everything together..they would never go a weekend with out hanging out..the ran up the phone bill talking..they talked about everything..they never had a secret between them..NEVER..leana and diana went a concert together they eat together..there teacher had to
move them..one day while walking home from the bus stop diana called leana and they talked..talked..they never stoped talking on the other end of leana..

Leana:(Silent)

Diana:Hello?hello?hello?finaly Diana hung up

The next day at school when a girls meet at there usaual spot Diana comfronted her...

Diana: HEY!!!YOU NEVER ANSWERED ME LAST NIGHT!!!

Leana:oh sorry i wasn't paying attention..

Diana:WELL NEXT TIME TELL ME SO I DON'T WAIST MINUTES TRYIN TO GET
YOUR FOCUS BACK.

Leana: look something came up ok..so just leave me alone
stop talking to me i don't feel good.

Diana: FINE!!I HATE YOU!!!

Leana: I HATE YOU MORE WAY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


the girl didn't talk to each other after school.Diana felt so bad that she decided to walk to Leana's house to tell her.she was sorry.But on the way there...a car was going really fast...It hit her.Leana decided that she was to go apologize to Diana but on the way there she found a blood body in the middle of the street.It was Diana..Leana ran home and told her mother..5 day later she was standing at Diana's funeral after the funeral Leana went home and cried all nite.now she sat alone at lunch,now she had no friend.Then finaly Leana gave up hope that this could all be a joke.she missed her one and only friend.Leana later on that nite killed her self by slitting her wrist.She died and was burried next to Diana.NOW just think what would you do if your BESTFRIEND died?would you kill your self???

What is FRIENDSHIP?

Friendship is about bonding. It is about reciprocating the care you receive from a person and at the same time respecting the other person's view. A friend does not judge you by wealth or position, he or she is there with you during your bad times. He is like the pillar of strength you can rely on and also share your apprehensions about the various aspects in life. Friendship blossoms each day and one must make time to strengthen the bond.

Days and events are important during friendship. It is vital for us to remember the important days in our friend's life. Friendship is also about trust. One is able to open up freely to the person who is your friend because you know you will not be judged. It is fine to express your inhibitions and also seek the advice of your friend but at the same time friendship is also respecting the other person's predicament. Many a times the friend is not available owing to familial reasons or other commitments and jealously can mar the fragile bond of friendship.

Situations in life often make us realize who our true friends are. We may be surrounded by a group of people whom we meet but it is only with a particular person we are able to relate. This is because there is a certain chemistry, understanding and also respect which you find in this true friend. It is our duty to bring a friend to the right path but too much of criticism will spoil the friendship.

We choose different vocations and reside in various locations and hence friendship gets separated owing to distance. Communication lines are accessible to all of us who want to connect with a lot of friends. Friends from our Alma Mater, friends from our previous jobs and also friends who have migrated to different lands can be contacted easily with the help of technology. There are No excuses in friendship.

The test of friendship is during critical circumstances. When you are down and out the best friend is still next to you. He or she gives you the biggest support with kind words and assures you that life is truly a great gift. A good friend is a rare gem and we need to polish this bond with the goodness of friendship.
